Hey Cookie is an elegant, customizable grid-style theme, perfect for artists and photographers. The wide, three-column layout supports post thumbnails, drop-down custom menus, up to two sidebars alongside the content and four sidebars in the footer.
Theme options allow you to choose from two blog styles (photo grid or standard), light or dark color schemes, your own accent color and multiple sidebar configurations, as well as a “featured posts” jQuery Orbit Slider by ZURB. You can display up to 10 featured posts (create a post category named Featured) or recent posts in the slider.
The slider, grid and single post layout take advantage of WordPress featured images. If you need a different thumbnail for the grid layout, or if the cropped featured image does not look right, you can use the custom field “square-thumb” with the URL to a square image as the value.
If no featured image is set, the theme will attempt to pull the first attachment. Images must be attached to the post (in the Gallery) for automatic image detection to work. I recommend using a plugin like Regenerate Thumbnails to resize your images to better fit the theme.
Hey Cookie also includes a “Minigrid” widget which displays a user-defined number of recent posts as small post thumbnails in a sidebar, mimicking the home page design. The widget looks best when posts are in multiples of 3 (in a right or left sidebar) or 4 (in a footer sidebar.)
Google Web font used is Poly by Nicolás Silva.

Sorry, but there seems something wrong with the theme package.
I love this theme very much and wonder if you can send me this theme through email.
Thank you~~
Hi Cyan,
Thank you! Glad you like the theme. The theme archive link should be working now. I’d send via e-mail but you didn’t leave your address.
Thanks,
Caroline
Thank you~~~
But there’s still a question.
When I activate this theme, it shows —
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in D:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\themes\hey-cookie\functions.php on line 295
So what should I do?
Hi cyan,
Well, that could mean a few things. It’s possible you need to ask your host to allocate more memory to php since this theme runs a lot of loops and functions. Or it could mean its a bug yet to be squashed and/or the code needs to be better optimized. That’s why I caution to use at your own risk unless you’re comfortable with code since it has yet to be put through a formal review process. I’ll see if I can find anything that looks particularly glaring in that file on that line.
Thanks!
I think I’ve got it. Many thanks for your detailed explanation.
I’ll contact my host service asap. But it may not work since the capability of host is fixed.
Actually I’m not good at php code, just know something about css. I’ve done some tests on localhost and host, but it always showed Fatal Error and 503 . This really made me very frustrated.
If there is something updated, please reply me right here, I can receive a notification mail. Or notify me through cmsjolin1019#163.com
Hello, great theme, however I cannot get to display a image, I can put a post with a image but the image doesn’t display. Hope you can help me with this problem.
Hi Declan
It sounds like you either need to set a featured image or the square_thumb custom field. Check out the readme.txt file for more info.
I’m closing comments here. Please post any future questions to the WordPress.org forums so others can benefit as well.
Thanks and I’m glad you like the theme!
